New York Comic Con 2017 Javits Convention Center
New York Comic Con is all about you – the fans. It kick starts as the largest event surrounding pop culture and gathers avid fans together. There is three-times more bookings expected than the previous San Diego Comic Con, held just a few months back. So if you want to know about when the event begins, and where it is, and most importantly, how to get your tickets – you have come to the right place.
Where is New York Comic Con being held?
It’s going to be held in New York, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Eleventh Ave in Hell's Kitchen. The Javits Centers’ enormous building will definitely require you to carry a guide map around so you could hit all the events you’ve been waiting for on time!
When is New York Comic Con?
New York Comic Con starts Thursday, October 5 and runs through Sunday, October 8.
What is going to happen there?
There is a lot to do this at NYCC this year. With the panels, sci-fi shopping and people in costumes everywhere, this is basically the best weekend in the lives’ of all the ‘Nerds’ – the people you find reading comics at the end of the classroom! But first – get the tickets! If you want your mingling dreams of meeting your favorite film and TV stars, run through to buy your tickets because they have been selling out fast. As of 12:28 of Monday, 1st October, there were less than 200 tickets left only.
The New York Public Library will be holding a keynote talk from Laurie Halse Andenson and Ngozi Ukazu, at the iconic Stephen A. Schwarzman Building at 476th Avenue on Thursday, October from 9 am to 5:30 pm. So this is for all the Librarians and Educators out there. They will be featuring intimate panel sessions and awesome giveaways from Boom! Studios, Scholastic, Valiant Entertainment, Image Comics, Udon Entertainment, CBC, the ALA and more!
For more information about the Panel talks, first of all in the line-up there is Marvel Legacy, hustling with big storylines and bringing back one major #MCU character into the fold. To showcase what they have been waiting to let out, here is Marvel’s chance to do it. So if you’re the Captain America or Iron Man guy, or someone who cant get eyes off the X-Men and the “Next Big Thing” which constitutes of the likes of #Runaways, #Daredevil and Squirrel Girl.
